Benito Mussolini – Early Life

September 1st, 2010

Benito Mussolini entered the world in 1883. His mother was a dedicated teacher in the school system with strong Roman Catholic values. His father was an anarchist and a blacksmith by trade. He was, also, a member, with active status, of the Italian Socialist Party. Mussolini’s father was a strong supporter of socialism and had strong beliefs in anarchy. Benito was named after 3 socialist icons and was raised with atheist beliefs. Later in his life, Mussolini was baptized in the Catholic faith in an attempt to gain support from the Vatican.

Mussolini gained experience in the blacksmith field while apprenticing with his father but his mother sent him to a boarding school to receive an education. Benito was a natural student and did very will in school. He found an interest in Plato and Homer, as well as, philosophers of the time and the teachings of the church. His studious behavior soon faded and Mussolini was kicked out of school for poor behavior that included stabbing a classmate in the hand. After joining a public school, he was qualified as an elementary schoolmaster and became a member of the Socialist Party of Italy when he was 18 years old.

One year later, Mussolini had made a move to the country of Switzerland to escape from serving in the military. He spent so much time studying Marx and Machiavelli that he wasn’t able to keep a job and ended up being deported back to his home country where he volunteered for two years of service with the military.

In 1908 – six years after his move to Switzerland – Benito Mussolini joined the Marxian Socialist movement. He resided in Trento where he became the editor of the socialist party newspaper. He was expelled from Trento two years later for “causing trouble” but was able to publish a political novel before his departure.

Benito Mussolini began calling himself “Professor Benito Mussolini” and became well known for his socialist views. In 1911 a riot was organized against the Italian war in Libya. This riot was led by Mussolini, himself. Mussolini’s involvement in the riot, compounded by his strong words against the war garnered him five months in Italian jail. The Italian government became displeased with Mussolini and he became the focus of several investigations during this time. Despite this, Mussolini was becoming quite popular with the Italian people.

Mussolini’s views of imperial powers prompted him to join the army again for the first World War. He became a dedicated soldier and declined chances to go home after catching typhoid fever and being wounded by a grenade. He was, also, very popular within the army and was awarded a promotion. In 1917 a mortar exploded in his trench and Mussolini was injured and sent home.

Upon returning home, Mussolini picked up his editor position and determined that socialism was a failure. In early 1919, at the age of 35, he reformed the Socialist Party into the Italian Combat Squad and Italian Fascism was born.

Courts and Politics – There is Supposed to Be a Separation, But I Cannot See it Anymore!

August 31st, 2010

There are three branches of our government in the United States of America, and the Supreme Court is the law of the land, and there is supposed to be a separation between the other branches of government (legislative, executive). Unfortunately, this Supreme Court has become far too political, and I fear they are leaning us towards socialist tendencies. And many of the cases they decide to take, and the decisions they render, seem to coincide far too often political events, and the timing makes it all suspect.

Okay so, you probably want me to give you a couple of examples, because perhaps you are a liberal leaning socialist, and you want to make sure that whatever I say comes with examples, so you can blow it out of proportion, take my words out of context, and to defeat my premise, or theory. The only problem is you’re not smart enough to do that, because if you believe in socialist societies, and that very fact, well, it proves that you are lacking in IQ level [in my opinion], or you really don’t care about the United States of America. [In my opinion, which is CYA so you can't sue me.]

Below are two examples, they are very recent examples;

Gay Marriage Ban was overturned just before President Obama is scheduled to be in Los Angeles for a Fundraiser.

Arizona immigration law parts and clauses ruled unconstitutional day before protests and it was supposed to go into effect.

Still, these are only two examples, and it is occurring more and more often. Worse, I hereby charge the US Supreme Court with abandoning their sworn duty to uphold the US Constitution, and therefore have come to the conclusion that their administering of “The Law of the Land” has been compromised. What does this mean? It means that there is no longer justice in the United States of America, it has been corrupted.

Now then, I love my country, or obviously I wouldn’t be writing this, but when the leadership of this nation is unfit to lead, and they are allowed to nominate members to the Supreme Court, and the legislative branch of our government approves those nominations, we find that we have one political party which has infiltrated all three branches of government, and we no longer have checks and balances.

The other problem is government is moving too fast, and when the Supreme Court is in cahoots with a fast-moving socialist-style political push in our government, we have a problem that we should all be concerned about. Now then, one could say that everything is fine, but that wouldn’t be the reality, and the further this goes down the road without the pendulum swinging the other way, the harder it is going to be to fix in the future to keep our nation safe and sane.

Further, if we are going to run our country more like a straight democracy than the Republic that it is, and if we are going to continually elect populist-like presidents, then eventually our country will be run by mob rule, and anytime we get a large group of people protesting in the streets, the Supreme Court will do whatever it takes to calm them down, along with all the politicians.

This is a slippery slope that we are going down, and if we continue down this path, we will end up like many of the countries in Europe, and last time I checked they weren’t doing so well. The United States of America is a great country, because it has a representative government, and yet, now we find that our politicians are willing to and are obliging the mass media which incites the mobs, and if our Supreme Court is willing to do the same, then no one is safe, nor can the citizenry, businesses, or future generations know what will happen next.

Such uncertainty in society and civilization, in economics and industry, or in politics and our court system cannot bring forth the desired results for the continuation of such a great nation.

Indeed, I see a storm on the horizon, one which no one is prepared for, and one which our government is either afraid of or will not take the necessary steps to protect the American people, rather making the potential eventuality much worse.

Is this where freedom goes astray, are we living in a society which is doomed to repeat, even when the obvious is right before our eyes? And who are these characters on stage, these people we call leaders, these podium pushing politicians who claim they are the answer?

They are the problem, not the answer.

Please consider all this.

Running For Political Office

August 31st, 2010

When proposing to run for political office or any other type of election you may think that the first place that you should start would be researching past elections or even trying to compile a list of donors to your campaign.

This however is not the best place to start. There is one more far important place to start any campaign and that would be to look at your family.

No matter whether you are running for local council or something a little smaller it is your family that will undoubtedly be your biggest supporters in this cause.

Running for any office will undoubtedly bring with it a very hectic schedule and also a lot of pressure and stress. It is your family that will inevitably feel the brunt of all this upheaval.

This is why it is vitally important that even before you consider running for any kind of election that you first check with your spouse and take into account her feelings on the subject and make sure that she fully understands what is going on throughout the process.

If your children are old enough to understand the situation then it could be a good idea to talk things over with them once your spouse has agreed with you running for office. Make them fully aware that there may be sacrifices that have to be made in the course of the election.

Stress does not just play a part of your life during the course of the election however. If you do manage to succeed in getting elected then your new job may bring with it its own pressures and stress so you should be aware of this. The job may only be part time but it brings with it certain responsibilities that you must live up to.

So no matter how important you feel the election is, always remember that your family is more important. If you can go through this with their help and support then it will make the whole journey even more memorable.
